Methaphores of the Earth

The mountains and forests that surround me daily for 48 years have been an experience that never ceases to amaze me. These views are so moving and ever-changing that my brush seeks to unravel the intangible secrets of their atmospheres. I never paint what I see, but rather that which transcends what I see, an energy present in color, shape, and texture, which compels me to search for metaphors that can capture the dreamy state that painting these landscapes provokes in me.
