Black and White

Painting with black ink on a white surface is an experience that holds profound meaning for the practice of painting. This duality between light and darkness represents the inherent polarity of our existence; without this contrast, the world would lack dynamism and meaning. By diluting the ink, we create a range of grays that reflect the nuances and complexities of life itself. When we immerse ourselves in the contemplation of a simple ink stain, we can discover within it a reflection of nature, and it is precisely at that moment that the stain becomes a bridge that connects us with the sublime essence of nature, deeply moving us.
